Ikambere works for health equity and women’s autonomy

Since 1997, Ikambere has supported women living with a chronic illness and disadvantaged communities on their path to health autonomy. The association offers personalised support and health education activities, through an approach grounded in kindness, mutual aid and solidarity.

The historic home of the Ikambere association, the welcoming House in Saint-Denis supports women living with HIV with their health, social and employment needs. Since it opened in 1997, more than 5,000 women have been supported there on their path to autonomy.

Ikambere’s support is open to all women living with HIV, diabetes, obesity or high blood pressure. Because health is a right, we welcome you whatever your residence status. Our teams are here to support you, listen to you and help you regain your autonomy, with no conditions.

Yes. Ikambere is recognised as a public-interest organisation: your donation entitles you to a tax reduction of 66% of its amount, up to 20% of your taxable income.

Anyone aged 18 or over, whatever their background. Needs range from help with administrative procedures to running workshops, as well as supporting daily life in our houses.

Yes: associations, local authorities and companies can get in touch with us. Write to us describing your project and our teams will get back to you within two weeks.
